Vanessa Vanderstraaten

Mentored by established writers and producers, Vanessa’s stories infuse a sensitivity for language and nuance with a deep understanding of the breadth of human experience.

Vanessa graduated from Nanyang Technological University with a degree in English Literature in 2011, and has worked as an actor for over a decade. It is this study of how text, emotion and performance combine that has informed her screenwriting career over the last 5 years, and made her an asset in many writers’ rooms.
